About David Roby
David Roby is a self-taught, award winning, creative painter, and visual artist. He began his practice of the realist approach to painting in 1971, during his post-adolescence years in Rochester, New York. He initially saw and drew in shades of black and white using graphite pencils on bonded white paper. David’s artistic ability expanded upon the discovery of unique colors of oil paint when applied to stretched canvas. David demonstrated his approach to the mastery of fine oil painting shortly after making that discovery.
